Tony
is an acknowledged technology visionary, having held positions as Senior
Executive, Consultant, and Entrepreneur at various times during his
illustrious career. As an executive at several large technology
service corporations, he was responsible for long-term technology
strategy, integrating new technology with the legacy environment, and
also acted as chief architect for acquisition and consolidation
programs.
Tony’s
distinguished career began in Buffalo, New York in systems development
where he assisted in installing real-time banking systems in the United
States. He remained on the leading edge by keeping a close eye on
the increasing value of using emerging technologies as keys to achieving
and sustaining reengineered business processes.
A
cofounder of National Payments Network, he built a $40 million business
that pioneered the processing of payments at point-of-sale locations
throughout the United States. He is a member of the C. Everett
Koop Foundation, taking part in the consortium responsible for
establishing the future technology standards for the Tele-medicine and
Healthcare industries. Recognized in Who’s Who in Finance and
Industry and a Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis,
Missouri, he was also appointed to IBM’s Financial Applications
Systems Standards Council in 1990. He is published on several
subjects including, Using the Electronic Highway, The Interactive
Imperative and Technology Landscapes of the Future.
Today,
he is a cofounder of flatlands
consulting group,
a consulting company specializing in building the bridge between
business and technology processes by using emerging technologies.
