Dan, has been programming since 1978 and has been heavily involved in internet development for the last 5 years. Currently he owns and developed several WEB sites; Strategy Page, (www.strategypage.com), which was recently highlighted
in FORBES Best of the WEB; The Hundred Years War, (www.hyw.com), an online role-playing game of Medieval Europe; WEB Mutants, (www.webmutants.com) , a children's site that is currently waiting for funding.
Dan was co-founded of Erudite Software, a Utah based software consulting firm that specialized in client/server development. In 1995 Erudite was recognized as the fastest growing company in Utah for the previous 5-year period.
In May of 1996 Erudite merged with GSE Systems. Dan became the Chief Technology Officer for all of GSE Systems. In May of 1998 GSE-Erudite was acquired by Keane, Inc.
Continuing his commitment to technology Dan joined MyFamily.com as the CTO where he helped launch the fastest growing web community at that time.
Prior to the creation of Erudite, Dan was a Professor of Computer and Information Science at UVSC. He also, taught adjunct for BYU and Weber State.
In 1997 Dan wrote, "Way of the Warrior: Business and Leadership Tactics from Histories Twelve Greatest Generals", co-authored with James Dunnigan and published by St. Martins Press.
Today Dan has is an advisor to flatlands consulting group, a company specializing in building the bridges between the business and technology by using emerging technology.
